Personal hygiene is very important in the kitchen to help prevent food contamination and food poisoning. To prevent yourself from bacteria follow these easy tips.
1. Always wash hands well before preparing food and again when handling raw and cooked meat, be sure to wash wrists and backs of hands as well as palms.
2. Be sure to wear an apron while cooking at all times to be sure that bacteria is not transferred from your clothes to your food.
3. Make sure that if you have a wound on your hands or arms to cover them with a bandage so that no blood is transferred to the food and always wear gloves no matter what.
4. Always tie hair back to make sure no loose strains of hair goes into the food and to make sure that your hair doesn't get caught in anything.
5. Be sure to remove all jewellery from hands and wrists such as rings and bracelets.
